BOARD MEETINGS

Meets quarterly beginning October of each fiscal year at 12:00 noon.

COMMITTEE MEETINGS

Called by Committee Chairperson as needed.

TERM OF OFFICE

Board members shall be elected to serve a maximum of two (2), three-year terms with the exception of Board members currently serving as of June 1, 2008, who will not have any term limitations.  Directors will be elected so that one-third of their terms expires each year.  Officers shall be elected every other year by the Board at the annual business meeting for a term of two (2) years

MINIMUM BOARD MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

• Attend Board meetings regularly.
• Attend Committee meetings regularly.*
• Active participation in special events of the Association.
• Promote and assist the Agency in fundraising activities.
• Visit the facility during regular working hours at least twice annually.
• Minimum annual payment of $50.00 for Alliance for Independence membership dues.
• Promote Alliance for Independence and its philosophy.
• Meet the Children and Family Services/FDLE background requirements.
• Complete Conflict of Interest Statement.
